RTV (short for Rajawali Televisi, formerly known as B-Channel) is a national private television station in Indonesia owned by Rajawali Corpora. RTV officially airs on November 1, 2009 in Jakarta under the name B-Channel. Currently, RTV programs themselves are more focused on entertainment, soft news and variety shows for families. On May 3, 2014, B-Channel changed its name to RTV.
RTV was founded in 2008 as B-Channel by Sofia Koswara, a furniture entrepreneur from Cikarang. B-Channel started its trial broadcasts in 2008 and launched on November 1, 2009. Sofia Koswara founded B-Channel with the aim of spreading a virus of inspiration for families. At that time B-Channel was a local television station in Jakarta that relayed TVN broadcasts. On January 1, 2011, Lanny Rahardja served as the managing director of B-Channel launched his new logo which depicts a new passion for inspiring the whole family (as well as local logos that are networked with B-Channel). At the same time, B-Channel was officially launched as a networked television station broadcasting without commercial breaks began to expand to the Palapa D satellite.
